Autumn Windfall 2010 50/50 Cash Raffle

On October, 24, 2010, The Rotary Club of Forked River had it's annual Cash Raffle. The club members sell 300 tickets at $100 per ticket. $15,000 (half) is given away in cash in the following increments
10 - $100.00 prizes awarded (1st, 25th, 50th, 75th, 100th, 125th, 150th, 175th, 200 & 250th ticket drawn)
4 - $1,000.00 prizes awarded (296th, 297th, 298th & 299th ticket drawn)
1 - $10,000.00 awarded (300th ticket drawn)
Proceeds from this event benefit our Thanksgiving Program and Holiday Elf Program. Last Year's Thanksgiving Program provided 200 families with food baskets that included all the fixings for a complete dinner. This included a large Thanksgiving turkey. The food baskets went to those in need, or to those who might otherwise do without Thanksgiving Dinner. Our 2009 Holiday Elf program provided gifts and a food basket for the 371 children (159 families) in our service area of Lacey, Waretown and Barnegat. Individual Rotarians from our club provided for the first group of families. Most of these families had two or three children. The Lacey Township High School Interact club shopped for the remaining children/ families. The Interact is a form of Rotary for High School Students. We sponsor the Interact Club in Lacey Township High School. Our Rotary club expects to provide for similar numbers of families in 2010 in both out Thanksgiving and Holiday Elf Programs Picture from our event below
