Autumn Windfall 2004

Each year the Rotary Club of Forked River hold a Cash Raffle to support our Thanksgiving and Holiday Elf Programs.  Tickets are limited to 300 ($100 each). There $15,000 in cash prizes awarded.

In 2003, our Thanksgiving Program provided 140 families with food baskets that included all the fixings for a complete dinner. This included a large Thanksgiving turkey. The food baskets went to those in need, or to those who might otherwise do without Thanksgiving Dinner.

Our Holiday Elf program provided gifts and a food basket for the children of 177 families in our service area of Lacey, Waretown and Barnegat. Individual Rotarians from our club provided for the first 120 families. Most of these families had two or three children. With the money we raised at this event last year, the Lacey Township High School Interact club shopped for the remaining 190 children or 57 families. The Interact is a form of Rotary for High School Students. We sponsor the Interact Club in Lacey Township High School.
