Interact Students shopping for gifts
| Every year, the members of the Forked River Rotary Club
adopt one or more needy families during the Holiday season. Each
Rotarian will purchase gifts and clothing for the children of these
families and deliver them along with a large food basket. These
baskets were made up of food collected during our November and December Food
Drive plus a ham purchased by the club.
The Lacey High School Interact Club also participates in this program. This year, we bused about 40 Interact Students to Target in Tom's River, NJ. The students shopped for about twenty families on top of what our club already provided for. The students wrapped the gifts later that day. The next day (driven to the families by Rotarians) the students delivered the gifts. All together, the Rotary Club of Forked River provided for over seventy families this year in Lacey, Barnegat and Waretown.
