On Friday, June 11th, the Rotary Club of Forked River inducted its officers and directors for the 2004 - 2005 Rotary year beginning on July 1st.

It was a great night of food and fellowship.  We had a few special guests including the District 7500 Governor Pam Maguire and District 7500 Governor-Elect Bud Umbaugh.

The outgoing officers and directors were recognized for the outstanding job they did this year.  Current Forked River President Paul Rizzo Paul Harris Recognition.  Tom Darmody was also honored with a Paul Harris Recognition but it was presented the previous week at his retirement party. Tom was the Chief of Police in Lacey Twp for Thirty-two years and served our town for Forty-four years on the force. Rotarian Jay Pierson also surprised his wife Patsy by honoring her with a Paul Harris Recognition.

The Rotary Club of Forked River has provided assistance and financial support to the local and international communities in the amount of $107,495 in the year 2003-04.

The club would like to wish the 2004-05 officers and directors another successful year.
