Interact, Rotary, wrestlers raise funds Published in the Times-Beacon May 29, 2008 By BOB VOSSELLER Staff Writer LACEY — The Rotary Club of Forked River and the high school Interact Club will come together Saturday when both groups host a night of wrestling in the high school gym. National wrestling superstars will present a night of all-star wrestling that will include Nick Dinsmore, better known as Eugene from Monday Night TV wrestling, Sal Sincere, known as wrestling diva Sable's former boy toy and America's hero, The Patriot. The event will also include former ECW wrestler The Equalizer and former intercontinental champion Tito Santana. A Jersey Shore title match will be held between champion Nicky Oceans versus Lacey Township's own Rhett Titus. Special guest managers from the Lacey Township School District will be part of the fun. Rhett "The Threat" Titus is a rising star hero who, according to a Rotary Club release, will have the chance to win his first professional wrestling gold, as he has his long-awaited showdown with arch-rival Nicky Oceans. The first bell of the event will ring at 7:35 p.m. Dinsmore's character of lovable Eugene will bring a flare of superhero antics to the contest. World Wide Wrestling Hall-of-famer and former intercontinental and tag team champion "El Mator" Tito Santana is coming all the way from Mexico to be part of the night's action. "The kids are really excited about this event and we have a local connection to restling with our hometown wrestler," Interact Club Advisor Bunny McGauley said. "We'll have about 30 members of the club helping out with setup and other things during the event."Tickets cost $20 for open ring side seating and $16 for bleacher seats. Tickets are available at the Lacey Shell station at 930 Lacey Road, Rising Sun Surf Shop in the New Fieldcrest Commons, Square Deal Hardware on route 9 and Sweet Jenny's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor on Route 9 in Barnegat. Tickets are also available at Inkling Promotions at 709 Atlantic City Blvd., Route 9 in Beachwood. All major credit cards are accepted and group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
